Is Chappie a real, working robot today?
The animated virtual Chappie is real and interactive. The physical entertainment robot is a proposed development project. We have not demonstrated a physical prototype or validated performance claims.
What does “open” actually mean?
We intend to publish software, model interfaces, and selected hardware documentation under suitable open licenses. The precise scope and licenses will be published before release. There is no hardware or software repository release to claim yet.
Are the rewards guaranteed?
No. These are proposed benefits conditional on funding, engineering feasibility, availability, and final fulfillment terms. A contribution is not a robot purchase, an equity investment, or entry into a raffle.
How will contributions and my identity be handled?
Cash and supported stablecoin checkout are prepared through Stripe. Only verified payments count toward funding. Your account links contributions to your history; public leaderboard participation is optional. Checkout is closed until payment processing and campaign terms are ready.
How does community leadership work?
Supporters can propose challenges, discuss design decisions, and help prioritize ideas. Formal governance is still to be defined; contributions do not confer ownership or binding voting rights.
